At Gower Coast Adventures we are passionate about our local marine life and the beautiful Gower coastline and we love sharing this passion with our passengers. Since 2003 we have been providing interactive wildlife spotting tours of the south Gower coast, aiming to leave our passengers with unforgettable memories.
Guided by professional qualified crew with excellent local knowledge, you will encounter stunning scenery, a wealth of marine wildlife, fascinating local history (from prehistoric bone caves to tales of smugglers) and a unique thrill as we skim across the open water.
With nearly 20 years experience of navigating these waters, we know every cave, cove and bay, along with their intriguing stories.
We know where the seals will be snoozing, the porpoises feeding, and the sea birds nesting.
Our passion for our local marine species and habitats brings with it a detailed knowledge of Gower's wildlife from where to look for dolphins, to which cliffs to scan for perching peregrines, and also a deep desire to protect it.

Meet the crew
Dave - Owner, director & skipper
Dave was brought up on Gower, and after studying and travelling the world for a few years, returned to Gower to begin running boat tips. He has been a certified commercial skipper for over 15 years now, and thoroughly enjoys showing both visitors and locals the beautiful scenes and incredible wildlife that the Gower Peninsula has to offer. Dave's knowledge of our local wildlife and history is extensive; he has experienced many amazing marine life encounters here over the years and loves to share these stories with our passengers.
Lizzie - Senior Wildlife Guide
Lizzie has been part of the GCA team since 2013. She grew up on the north Wales coast, and has lived in Gower for 15 years now. After studying marine biology at Swansea Uni, Lizzie joined the crew as a wildlife guide, interspersing this role with other conservation jobs monitoring seals and sea birds. Lizzie loves all of our wildlife but her particular interest is in seals and she has built up a catalogue of photos of all the different seals we regularly see on our trips.
Emily - Wildlife Guide
Emily has joined the team this year as a Wildlife Guide. She is currently studying Marine Biology at Swansea Uni. Emily grew up in Swansea and spent her younger years exploring Gower's beaches, she particularly enjoys rockpooling! Emily's favourite Gower species are the beautiful gentle giants, the Barrel jellyfish.

Our boat
Our vessel is a purpose built 10.5m RHIB (rigid hull inflatable boat) with a 315hp turbo diesel engine. She is named 'Sea Serpent', the English translation of the Viking word 'Wurm' from which the name of the tidal island of Worms Head is derived.
Sea Serpent is jet propelled, which means there are no external moving parts. This is important to keep our wildlife safe; if dolphins or seals come near to the boat they can't get cut by propellers. Jet propulsion also makes our boat very manoeuvrable and allows us to board passengers in shallow waters from the beach.
We carry a maximum of 12 passengers on our trips, so each person has their own comfortable seat and an excellent view.
